Addressing Burnout.

Is burnout another pandemic? Very likely, yes. It is a consequence of living through a pandemic, and the cost of not living life consciously.

Burnout is defined as a “syndrome resulting from workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.” We all have a workplace: whether it’s a job outside the home, working inside the home for an external employer, or working in the home for ourselves and our families. Burnout is not currently classified as a medical condition, but very often it does result in medical consequences.

Mental & Emotion Symptoms:

Emotional exhaustion/feeling drained

Inability to make simple decisions

Significant brain fog/cognitive issues

Depression/Anxiety

Unusual cynicism

Prickliness/quick to anger

& many more

Physical Symptoms:

Physical exhaustion

Inability to sleep in spite of feeling exhausted

Significant lack of energy

Chronic pain

Gastrointestinal upset

Adrenal fatigue

& many more

In this Burnout-focused coaching programme, the first step is to evaluate where you are, together. Burnout often can be most effectively overcome with a combination of coaching, medical consultation, and therapy, although each case is different. Once we understand where we are starting, together we will design a program tailored to best support you to get out of burnout, and equip you with tools and practices to not fall into burnout again.

Do you know that once you have experienced burnout, you are much more likely to experience it again?

It takes the body approximately 18 months for your adrenal system to recover from adrenal burnout (in which your adrenal system has been compromised by burnout).

Together, we will:

  1. Understand how to press pause in your current situation to give you the mental and physical space to enable your body and mind to recover.
  2. Look back at path that led you to burnout (the decisions, the interactions, the thought processes, etc.) without judgement.
  3. Develop a supportive program to help you progress out of burnout.

Beginning Burnout: 4 sessions

Burnout is experienced in a unique way by everyone, so each journey will be different. However, the initial way to tackle burnout is the same for everyone, so the Burnout programme is 4 sessions, after which we will decide together what the next steps can be.
